Who are the photographers who are contributing to the construction of an imagery of violence against women? This text examines photography projects denouncing gender violence in the post-#MeToo era. Social networks have rekindled interest in feminism, influencing visual representations of women's lives, including images of sexist and sexual violence. This book addresses the ethical dilemmas associated with the display of violent images and proposes alternative strategies for raising awareness, based on fifteen projects by women. The book underlines the importance of regaining control over the representation of women for the purposes of self affirmation, empowerment, care and struggle.
