The project Sans titres [Without Titles] by artist Gabriela Löffel, laureate of the 2020 Geneva photographic survey, is the result of extensive research into the close links between the world of international finance and the enforcement of migration laws in Switzerland. It is based on the example of the Federal Asylum Centre (CFA) in Grand-Saconnex, which opened in June 2025. The artist visited the site before it opened, before it became a place of accommodation and transit. As part of her exhibition at the Centre de la Photographie Genève, a contextualised guided tour is offered in collaboration with the associations asile.ch, elisa-asile and Solidarité Tattes. What is a Federal Asylum Centre, and who are the people staying in this semi-prison-like facility? What is life like for the men, women and children staying there?
The tour will be led by representatives of the associations Sophie Malka (asile.ch), Marc Baumgartner (elisa-asile) and Louise Wehrli (Solidarité Tattes), as well as artist Gabriela Löffel and Danaé Panchaud, director of the Centre de la photographie Genève, who will also present the artistic approach.
