More and more circumstances require artists to produce texts about their own work: awards applications, proposals for grants and residencies, portfolios, websites, etc. The ability to effectively convey the intentions and strategies of a project through text has thus become essential, but most artists cannot systematically commission an art historian to write about each of their current projects. This workshop aims to support the participants in the writing of accompanying texts for their projects. It will cover the characteristics of a text that can effectively communicate a project, present writing strategies, and alternate between recommendations, accompanied writing sessions and group feedback.
