Round table organised in conjunction with the exhibition
“Avez-vous déjà vu un iceberg sous la pluie?”
Free entry, in French, rue des bains 28, 18h30
Arctic and Alpine territories, which have long been associated with a romanticised fantasy and with untouched nature, are now undergoing major changes. They have become symbols of the climate crisis in the contemporary imagination and are the victims of a partial understanding that is far removed from certain realities on the ground. By bringing together art, geography, literature and archaeology, this round table will attempt to understand the different ways of grasping the particularities of these environments, their forgotten histories or the way of life of their inhabitants, at the crossroads between scientific disciplines and speculative approaches, between personal subjectivity and critical questioning.
