On the occasion of the contemporary art fair, artgenève, at the end of January, CPG editions presented their new publication Rumeur sur la ville by Jacques Berthet with texts by Joerg Bader and Serge Margel. The photographs of Jacques Berthet present a city of Geneva walled behind yellow palisades and completely deserted of its inhabitants. The artist had taken them before the arrival of the great anti-globalization demonstration at the end of May 2003, that is to say before the demonstrators covered the palisades with graffiti, hence the very clean appearance. On the occasion of the first confinement decreed on Friday March 13, 2020, the city strangely resembled the photographs of the Geneva photographer and the Geneva press seized on it and took it into account with a cover of the Tribune de Genève and almost a page and a article in Le Temps.
