A documentary photographer who specializes in Alpine and other landscapes, Nicolas Crispini also terms himself a purveyor of images. This describes both his activities as a serious collector of historical photos and expert in the history of photography, and his broader efforts as a curator and publisher for public museums. After previously showing his work in the 2016 exhibition Caméra(auto)Contrôle, for OSMOSCOSMOS he has prepared photographic glass plates that, over varying spans of time, were sprinkled with every conceivable kind of dust, including cosmic. This effort constitutes a tribute to Élevage de poussière (Raising Dust)by Marcel Duchamp and Man Ray, artists who were to profoundly impact modern art over the following hundred years.
