Michel Mazzoni * 1966 in France, lives in Brussels

“The photography of Michel Mazzoni points up the limit between the figurative and the nonfigurative, between visibility and disappearance. The printing processes and other techniques he uses play a particular role in his pictures, in which order and chaos, dissolution, circular time, the processes of fragmentation, and the cosmos all form key elements,” the critic Frédéric Collier writes. He goes on to add, “Mazzoni works by subtraction in order to go to the very limits of the image.”
