The arrival of the virus has taken the world population by surprise, we had not really prepared for it.
Je prends conscience à quel point nous sommes vulnérable, à quel point notre monde est train de changer, mais je percois également à quel point nous sommes solidaires. Peut-être n'est-ce pas le moment idéal mais je me demande comment les relations entre les gens vont évoluer dans le futur. Accorderons nous plus d'importance aux petites choses de la vie ?
I realize how vulnerable we are, how everything is changing, but on the other hand I perceive great solidarity between people. Perhaps this is not the time to ask yourself, but how are relationships between people going to change in the future? Will we value small things more in the future?
Mon travail tourne autour du monde de l'objet, où je construis des histoires et des figures littéraires, et par conséquent, je n'ai pas besoin de sortir pour trouver un projet ou le réaliser. Ces derniers sont libres de toute interprétation et leur sens évolue avec le temps qui passe. Par exemple, la photographie du globe terrestre masqué date de 2016 et nous parlait de pollution dans le monde; aujourd'hui sa signification est bien différente.
My work revolves around the world of the object, where I build stories and literary figures, and therefore I don't have to go outside to look for or carry out a project. They have a free interpretation and that meaning can change over time. For example, the photograph of the world ball with the mask that I took a few years ago (2016) and speaks about pollution in the world today takes on another meaning.
Récemment, j'ai photographié le cadenas planétaire qui parle des gens confinés chez eux à travers le globe ou encore le COVID-19 mis sous cloche pour refléter les espoirs du monde de voir les rôles s'inverser avec une liberté retrouvée.
I recently took the photographs of the padlock that talks about the people around the world that remains locked up at home and the other, where the COVID-19 stays inside a glass bell that reflects on the hope that soon the roles will change and people will be able to go out and the virus stays locked up.
