The Centre de la photographie Genève and Focale team up, on the occasion of the Swiss Photomonth for a convivial evening around three recently published photobooks. Meet artists Rebecca Bowring, Olga Cafiero and Sarah Carp and discover their new projects. Rebecca Bowring's “Knowing Thunder”, published by Artphilein, offers a different perspective on domestic violence based on the artist's personal experience. Olga Cafiero's “Ephemeris” pays tribute to the imagery and beliefs that animate Le Messager boiteux, an almanac that has been published continuously since 1707. Sarah Carp, with ‘Sans visage’ [Faceless], published by Acte Sud, addresses the complex issues surrounding children's image rights. The presentation of the books will be followed by a discussion, and it will be possible to purchase the books.
